My Dog "Lead"

I had a brindle cur coon dog.
We called him “Lead” because he was always leading the pack.
I was 16 yrs old when I got him.

Lead was getting old and slow and he laid under the truck.
Daddy did not see "Lead" under the truck and he ran over him.
"Lead" got around for 3 days before he died.

Why can't you can yellow tomatos?

"How do you can yellow tomatoes?" "Can I can pink tomatoes?" “Can I mix red, orange and yellow tomatoes?” "To can tomatoes safely, do I need to add acid?http://missourifamilies.org/features/nutritionarticles/nut65.htm
Yellow tomatoes are canned the same way as red tomatoes. you can can pink, orange ripe tomatoes. mix and match as you can tomatoes.
to can tomatoes you must add acid. Is that true?Tomatoes were once an acid food that could be safely canned in a boiling-water canner. , because of problems with botulism in home-canned tomatoes care must now be taken. tomatoes should have acid (in the form of lemon juice) added.

Do yellow tomatos have less acid than red tomatos?

"Red ones will burn your mouth more be cause of the acid." Roger isaac

Yellow or orange tomatoes: These are sometimes advertised as "low-acid" tomatoes. They are in fact not lower in acid than other tomatoes, but higher in sugar, which produces a very mild, sweet flavor. Like red tomatoes, these have plenty of vitamin C and potassium, but they don't have any lycopene.

We Always had a Big Garden

When it came to a garden we always had a big one. I was picking beans at ten year old. There were ten of us kids. I was the youngest. It seemed like Mom and I were the only ones picking beans. We all wood sit around on the porch and brake them up. Mom would put them in 40 or 50 jars and put them in a big tub to can them. They took 4 or 6 hours over a hot fire.

My Border Collie "Tiny"

I had a Border Collie named "Tiny" when I was ten years old.
She was an amazing dog that would tree squirrels.
She could tree any kind of animal.
She kept chickens out of yard.
Every evening "Tiny"
got the cows.
I gave her to Ottie Isaac when she was six years old because he begged me for her. Ottie wanted a good squirrel dog. He finally brought her back to me because she wouldn’t eat. She just laid around.
"Tiny" was tickled to death to get back to me after a week or so away. She ate right away.
